Polywood

Advantages:
Exceptionally strong and dense among pressed wood types. Resistant to bending.
Handles high humidity well. Termite and fungal resistant. Less prone to breakage. Dense wood texture. High moisture resistance.
Disadvantages:
Heavyweight. Higher cost compared to regular pressed wood.

Oriented Strand Board (OSB)
Manufactured by arranging layers of wood flakes or thin, flat wood pieces with varying lengths. These layers are overlaid in a staggered pattern.

Advantages: Strong and durable. Dense and less prone to bending. Moisture-resistant. Termite and fungal resistant. Less prone to breakage.
Disadvantages: Higher cost than standard particleboard (PB).

Particleboard (PB)
Produced by compressing small wood scraps, such as sawdust, into boards. Each piece varies in size and is not ground into fine powder. These scraps are then compressed into sheets.

Advantages: Lightweight. Economical. Popular due to affordability.
Disadvantages: Not water-resistant. Prone to swelling. Easily breakable. Less sturdy compared to other pressed wood types.
